This is the safest and quickest way to the den site from out of the territory. It is always well marked but there is always those who don't get the message. It takes about an hour to get from one end of the woods to the other, if you know which way to go. Only the pack knows the way in and out of the woods off by heart, for wanderers it can take days. Pups are warned not to eat the mushrooms and toadstools that grow around the lake that runs through the woods, most of them are deadly.
